Meet the Misses

The Mini Misses that is... better known as Sister.

Born in February... a wopping 10 days over due, at a staggering 13lbs!

That's right... I gave birth to a 13 lb 2 oz baby! ... and no, I did NOT have a C-section!

That's the part that is a little embarrassing, but in my defense she didn't just slip out. In fact, it was pretty scary during delivery... it only took about two pushes to shoot her down the birth canal (nicely put, huh?), but then she was stuck and that's when things got a bit hairy, no pun intended. Her shoulders were stuck. Fortunately, she was safely shifted and pulled out. Aside from a whole hand of finger prints on her poor little head and some swelling, she was a completely healthy baby girl.

It's no secret that I hoped for another boy... but as soon as I laid eyes on her, I was in love....

It's funny how GOD knows what we want, even when we don't!

We felt like celebrities in the hospital. We had nurses taking pictures of her in the delivery room on the scale and knocking our door down to see her during the rest of our stay. We were told she was the biggest baby ever born at this particular hospital... however, we do not hold the record for worlds largest baby born, there has been bigger... much bigger. We Googled it!

My little muffin.

She has conquered milestones so quickly and come out so big, that sometimes I feel like we got jipped on the newborn stage.

Crawling at 5 months ...

and pulling up to standing weeks after that... this little girl is on the move.

She examines and watches everything. Sometimes you can almost HEAR the information being stored in her little brain.

It's obvious that she can't wait to take over and start running things...

Meet Mini Mr. Rinehart

I think it's time I introduce the mini's....

I'll start in the order they were born... seems fitting....

First up is Mini Mr. Rinehart

My 4 year old! Yikes! You could never imagine how quickly 4 years could pass... well you could if you have kids of your own. Sometimes I even forget how small he actually was until I look back at pictures.

My baby boy! I wanted him so badly that I was sure GOD would give me a girl just to prove that I could love her just the same (which of course I would have), but he didn't, he sent me a perfect, healthy little boy! Everything I had dreamed about and more. I can't tell you why, but I had always secretly (or not so secretly) dreamed about having a little boy. I always admired how good boys were to their mothers and I guess I longed for that bond.
GOD made no mistakes! I have my boy and he is as boy as they come! He loves mud, snakes, rats, playing rough, peeing outside... dare I go on?

He's been obsessed with Thomas the Tank Engine and all his friends since the day he could play with toys! Every year I keep thinking Thomas will quietly fade away and he'll find interest in something new, but Thomas is still his favorite and he has quite a little a HUGE collection of trains, etc. to prove it!

He loves all animals and would prefer a trip to Petco over a trip to a theme park any day as he proved last weekend. He asks about three times a day to go to Petco and get a pet [fill in the blank]. One day it was a penguin, the next it was a snake, today it's a BOWWL frog (as he pronounces it)... and as soon as we get inside he is pressed up against a new cage everytime... "Hi Rat! You wanna come to my house?? .... he said yesss!"

He still requires a good nap and I have witnessed his head make a full rotation without one. He is a charmer and will play you like a fiddle to get what he wants, but all and all he is a good, nice boy that just wants to have fun and make you laugh.

Almost everyday he says something cute or funny... or just out of the blue and I usually have no idea where he's learned it or heard it... but I have to say that these are my favorite little moments! It's a garaunteed smile, every time!

He takes everything in and never forgets a thing!

I thank GOD everyday for him!

Sorry ladies.... he's all mine!
